Q1. Can the HHG1S fit an existing heat sink or base plate?
The body is 150×53×68mm (500–600A), 160×63×75mm (800A) and 185×66×81mm (1000A), with bolt mounting. Send the mounting-hole pattern or drawing of the existing base plate and we will confirm whether the HHG1S fits without changing the heat sink.
Q2. Why is the HHG1S housing longer than the HHG1K, and does it matter?
Our product pages list identical electrical data for both series, and the housing size differs. HHG1S is longer and HHG1K is more compact. If the internal or thermal comparison matters for the design, ask us and we will provide it.
Q3. Can two SSRs be paralleled to reach higher current?
We do not recommend it, because current sharing between SSRs is unreliable and one unit can end up carrying the excess. Choose a single higher-rated model instead. The series goes up to 1000A. Send the load and we will suggest the right rating.
Q4. Can a PLC or temperature controller drive the HHG1S input directly?
The input is 3–32VDC at 5–25mA. Most PLC transistor outputs and controller SSR-drive outputs are compatible, but check that the output can deliver the current and that its off-state leakage will not partially turn the relay on. Send the controller model and we will check.
Q5. How to choose between forced-air and water cooling at 800–1000A?
Loads above 80A require forced-air or water cooling. Heat is roughly on-state voltage drop times current, so an 800A load at the listed 1.6V maximum is about 1,280W, and 1000A about 1,600W. Water cooling suits sealed cabinets or hot ambient. Send the cabinet conditions and we will advise.
