FAQs

Q1. Why does the 15mΩ contact resistance matter in signal circuits?
In low-voltage signal circuits, such as a 24V PLC input, extra contact resistance can cause unreliable detection or false readings. The LXW-5’s initial contact resistance is ≤15mΩ (versus ≤50mΩ on the LXW-AZ). This is useful for sensing and safety-monitoring signals where consistency matters.

Q2. Is the LXW-5 fast enough for high-speed cam mechanisms?
Mechanical operating frequency is up to 240 times per minute (20 electrical), double the LXW-AZ’s 120. Operating speed range is 0.01mm/s to 1m/s. It suits counting, indexing and fast cam-actuated positions. Send the operations per minute and load so we can check electrical life.

Q3. Can the LXW-5 be triggered by slowly moving parts?
The rated actuation speed starts at 0.01mm/s, so slow-creeping mechanisms can still trigger the snap action. Because it is snap-action, contact opening does not depend on how slowly the actuator moves. Tell us the travel and speed of the mechanism and we will confirm.

Q4. Is the protective-case version or a custom wheel available?
A protective-case version is listed, and LXW-511Q2 is shown with a customizable small wheel. Send the wheel diameter, material and mounting dimension along with expected volume. We will review feasibility, MOQ (240 pcs standard) and lead time.
